The government of Nepal has officially announced 2018 as the "Visit Nepal Year" with a target to welcome a million tourist to the nation. Since 2014, the tourism of Nepal has hit badly by Annapurna Blizzard 2014, Everest Avalanche on 2015, Earthquake in April 2015 and Economical blockade by India/border disruptions. Now the tourism is back and needs some year to back in its original state. Nepal needs tourist to rebuild the nation and re-construction. During the year 2016/17, the government will launch different promotional programs prior to the Visit Nepal Year 2018.Visit Nepal Year 2018 follows the tourism year in 1998 and 2011 with the target of bringing one million tourists in the nation.
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has conducted consumer publicity programmes through the popular global media outlets like CNN International and BBC World to attract the targeted tourist to Nepal. The program will be beneficiary on targeting the tourist in Autumn, which is the peak tourist season of Nepal.
